The Sounds

    Layers of quiet prayers from mothers around the world, whispering, in the softest of voices, prayers for and messages to their children.

    Gentle hushing sounds— centuries old, human-made, natural, white noise.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Find a quiet, distraction-free place.

  2. Set up a recording. Your phone will work great.

  3. Record your prayer and hushing sounds.

  4. Whisper as quietly as possible when recording the prayer.

  5. Turn your head slightly away from the mic when recording the hushing to avoid audio distortion.

  6. Submit your audio files below.
