Emily Sage is a multidisciplinary artist whose creative practice is rooted in listening. Her art spans songwriting, audio production, poetry, soundscapes, and interactive sound art installations. Guided by a desire for innovation, connectivity, and presence, her work invites audiences to engage intellectually, emotionally, and physically.

Sage has presented projects, such as the Sounds of Serenity Garden, at Shout! 2023, an installation blending natural city sounds with cinematic composition, and designed the interactive soundscape for Pilgrimage by CIAF 2024 Fellow, Laurie Smithwick. In the Summer of 2025, Sage collaborated with Bureau for Listening in Copenhagen, Denmark on the installation, A Place to Lay Down and Listen, featuring an ongoing work by Emily Sage, Nurture Sounds.

Her work has been featured in award-winning films, exhibitions, and platforms such as NPR and Spotify’s Global Jazz Charts. No matter the object of her practice, Sage approaches sound as an organic material—malleable, evocative, alive, and deeply experiential.
