Emily Sage is a sound artist, composer, and producer whose work explores the emotional and spatial dimensions of sound. Drawing from jazz, soul, and cinema, her compositions function as sensorial experiences—immersive environments shaped by texture, tone, and memory.
With a background in songwriting and music business from Belmont University, Sage’s practice now extends into film scoring and sound for immersive installations. Her process is rooted in experimentation, often blurring the boundaries between music, narrative, and atmosphere. She collaborates across disciplines, working closely with filmmakers and artists to develop site-responsive soundscapes and emotionally charged sonic worlds.
Her work has been featured in award-winning films, art exhibitions, and platforms such as NPR and Spotify’s Global Jazz Charts. Whether composing for screen or installation, Sage approaches sound as a material—malleable, evocative, and deeply experiential.
